Pretty nice...

The beginning was good, but when it slowed down it took too long to build back up again (it would seem less so if there was less silence between phrases and if it had a little more background ambience).
Then when it gets really quiet, that's nice... building nicely... (I'm listening as I review).
Yeah it built up nicely. Nothing to say now... still listening...
Quiet again... Nice change.

Overall, especially for a six minute song, this does a pretty good job of keeping your attention.

(I like the ending.)

thanks for the more constructive feedback, I appreciate it!

I wouldn't have taken out the bells.

The bells were a nice touch, I missed them when they went away, and when they came back it just filled out the piece more =) If you haven't noticed by my other reviews I'm quite picky =P and the little things bother me... and so would the big things, but large flaws are absent from your music. Congrats man =D

P.S. ending doesn't quite fit for the type of music this is, it's too techno-y if you know what I mean, it sounds like it could almost be a lead-in to a fast and bass pumping techno part. Again, it's the little things =)

fuchuzz responds:

thanks, yea i noticed your other review, but please be as picky as you want , that way my music will evolve, thanks for th review, and i completely agree with the ending ,it does feel out of place.

I couldn't find anything wrong =)

Hehe I was listening for something to tell you to change... couldn't find anything. Like your others, it keeps you drawn in even with such simplistic sounds and beats. Nice and calming. Good work =D

fuchuzz responds:

again, thanks :P,im really glad you like it, ill be sure top post two more tomorrow.

Could have been better.

The guitar that comes in in the first few seconds and stays on two notes... would be okay if it was in the background. It gets brought out later as the most prominent part again... on the same two notes... too much. Probably some sort of note progression at the end of every two bars would fix it. The little peeping thing in the last minute... could be less peepy. When it starts doing chords it sounds good though.

Once you get past that guitar it's a really good piece, it draws you in nicely... and keeps you interested for the most part =)

fuchuzz responds:

thank you again, yea i could deffintly change up the guitar in the background, i agree, im glad you enjoyed it.

I'm liking this...

Well other than the sound realism, some of those chords are cut off REALLY abruptly... you probably intended that, but it just kind of creates tension, but not the kind you want to have in music. It's probably repetitive lol but it draws you in so much that you wouldn't notice it. I sure didn't. Nice work man =)

fuchuzz responds:

thank you very much good sir, next time i might try to reduce the tension abit then, or make a really good ending.

I like it

You mentioned making another song (Synthetic Systems?) into this one, I think I would enjoy that one more than the 8 bit version, but I can't seem to find it! Could you point me in the right direction?

Anyway, it progresses very well with the melody and lower parts fitting together beautifully. 10/10, 5/5.

IbeSm responds:

Sorry I removed it so that there wouldn't be any confusion between the two.

If you had a deep passion to hear it, PM me and I can upload it on a hosting site for you, but otherwise I am just pointing towards 'nowhere'.

hm?

It sounded like you put it together from a bunch of premade loops. Put a little more effort! Some of the loops didn't even fit in.

talls responds:

sorry...

...interesting

It doesn't sound real! Did you record it or use like midi?

giftedbuttwisted responds:

Yeah we recorded it but we used direct in

...wow!

First of all, the piece is great, and second, your piano skills are da BOMB!!!!

At first, I didn't comprehend that it was piano alone, and not piano with stuff in the background... great recording!

Reasoner responds:

:-D

Wow!

This is actually one of the better pieces on NG I've heard in a long time. Heck, I give pretty much everyone a ten, but now I realize that most of them deserved 8's or 9's...

Perfect length, great, great sounds! What program do you use? Did you record this in, or do you have just perfect digital sounds?

Also, wow, it just looped, I didn't even notice! The only reason I know it looped is because I thought to look up there.

Would go well with plenty of stuff, but the thing I can see it accompanying the most is like an end scene to a classic video game like a zelda or kirby game... but this surpasses most tunes that play behind those scenes :P

God, I have to get this on my mp3 player...

MetalJ0se responds:

Glad you like it!

I use Guitar Pro 5 to produce those sounds. It has a "Real Sound Engine" built in. For stuff like acoustic guitars and and clean sounding electric guitars it sounds great (IMO), but less so when you try and distort it. I'm still experimenting with all the different types of sounds I can get with it.

I then just use Audacity to try and get the loop right and export it as an mp3.

Don't forget, Friday is cake day!
